The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri has selected St. Francis’ to participate in a pilot program called This Young Church, which provides support for us in our ministry to children and youth. Each parish in the pilot has a particular self-set goal to achieve over the course of the year. Our goal is to develop formation for the slowly but steadily increasing presence of middle and high school youth at St. Francis’.
Support for work toward our goal will come from the Rev. Erin Pickersgill, Ministry Developer for Children and Youth for the Diocese of Missouri, who will provide 4 visits to our parish; training for relevant leaders; a preaching visit; and a Next Steps report. We are thrilled to have this help growing formation opportunities for our youth and children!
